This event featured a light lunch and compelling conversation with Co-Founder of the Rubin Museum of Art Don Rubin and Baruch Professor and Young Lords Scholar Johanna Fernández. Professor Fernández led a discussion with Mr. Rubin, who, in the 1970s, initiated negotiations between Bronx city officials and medical groups to create a medical center on 149th St and raised community awareness around issues of healthcare.

The Bronx Talks lunch series brings together small groups of supporters like you in an intimate setting to engage with artists and visionaries who have inspired us and who speak to the unique mission of the Bronx Museum. There was no fee for this luncheon, and seating was very limited.
