In an atmosphere where grant opportunities seem to be static, or even dwindling, artists need to use their creative skills not only to make their work, but to fund it. This workshop explored inventive models for building sustainable partnerships based on the value propositions inherent in socially engaged art projects with Shane Brennan, Arts Outreach Strategist, Kickstarter; Ronny Quevedo, artist and 2017 ABOG Fellow; and Pamela Rivera, Partnership Engagement Advocate, Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC), moderated by ABOG Executive Director Deborah Fisher. It also included a brief presentation on the A Blade of Grass Fellowship.

We’re grateful that this program is supported by The American Chai Trust, and, in part, by public funds from the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs in partnership with the City Council.
